The ELIZABETH BARRIE SCHOOL resides in a small village in Bapatla, India, near the Bay of Bengal. It’s a small school with a primary goal of educating children from the most vulnerable families. It also has a sizable population of middle class, tuition-paying students, laying the groundwork for a school that is self-sustaining, thus a future with less reliance on donors. One of the keys to accomplishing this is with school busses! Two busses currently zip around Bapatla every morning, picking up students from poor and middle class villages, so they can be educated together.
